Socially Relevant Verdicts for Muslims in the West – 1 – Shaykh Zayd ibn Muhammad ibn Haadee Al-Madkhalee: ????? ??? ??????? ???? ???? 1. Just recently a brothers wife has begun to disobey Allah. She does acts like talk to foreign men, smoke cigarettes, and has taken off her hijab. We have given her advice on numerous occasions, but until now it is of no avail. He is asking for some advice about this matter. Should he divorce her or what? Answer: In that country (France) whenever a woman becomes Muslim and prays the five daily prayers then be patient and try to fix the problem. Dont be in such a hurry to divorce her. Advice should be given to her more than once as long as she is praying. On the other hand if she isnt praying the obligatory prayers and has no regard for her modesty and honour and he leaves her for the sake of Allah, He will replace her with someone better. Question by Laura: Advice for a man to get custody after divorce? His wife is verbally abusive to their kid.?
He has started writing down instances when her outbursts occur (she’ll curse at their 8-year-old for nothing) and he wants the kid to live with him and for her to just get visitation after the divorce. What other steps should he take to make a better case for this? He feels it would be damaging for the child to live with her most of the time (plus, he’s very close to this child– it’s the only reason he’s stayed married this long). Any help, especially from a lawyer, would be appreciated.

Answer by Colleen O Just keep track of her verbal abuses and also in court go after child support. The fact that she is a woman/mother doesn’t mean the child does’t deserve child support.

Other than adultary, and cheating on you, what else has led to your divorce? What elements can you say are to blame for the divorce??
Please also state how many years you have been married, and also the advice you’d give so that these problems can be checked in other cases before someone else embarks on marriage.
Thanks
Ladies/Gents,
I am TRULY sorry about all these problems. I didnt realise that it was that bad.

Answer by .:JuSt A GiRl:. I have never been divorced but my sister is going through one right now and she was married about 5 years and I think the main reason was that she lost a ton of weight and changed mentally and wanted to “explore” other options with her new found confidence and her ex was a jerk
Question by Chelsea: Can ex wife be held accountable for debt not included in the divorce, after it is finalized?
Despite my extreme advice to have all of their debts included and split 50/50 in the divorce, I was shot down on that idea. Now my husband of 3 months has horrible credit and we are having problems being approved for purchases. Is there anyway to hold her accountable for it now to get it off of his credit? Most of it is credit card debt, 3 of 4 are in her name with him as a co-card holder. I know laws depend on states, I’m just looking for a general idea.

Question by Vincent: If my wife forged my signature on divorce paper, will it help me win the case?
I didn’t want the divorce. My wife forced it by forging my signature after she kicked me out of the house. She claimed full custody of my only 15 months daughter, and refuse or make it inconvenient for me to visit my baby. Can the fact she forged my signature (which I never allowed her) give me an edge of my daugher costody? I request for half custody of my daughter. Thanks for any advice or info.
