Answer by Jennifer360 Communicate with your partner. Tell them, listen I know it didn’t work out b/t us, but let’s try to work out the details of our separation without taking legal action. A lot of people don’t even realize you can get divorced without getting a lawyer involved.

Answer by Mary sounds like you hate him and turned the kids away from him.
although you disagree, the police and Child protective services agree with me.
you can get 1/2 of the marital assets if you can get a really good lawyer…but you do not say what those assets are.

Best answer:
Answer by heavensent41770 WHY would you want another chance? Hes putting you down and you dont even see it…. You finish school, you get a good job and you raise your child and be happy with that!!! Quit trying to be a pleaser and be a leader for your daughter…. First and foremost, teach her not to sit and listen to a man downgrade her. You are the mirror for your child and what she sees in that mirror is how shes going to see her life….. think about that.

Question by ashlan m: I am seeking a divorce, do I need to file it through the same state we married through?
We’re from Florida, but we were married in Echols County, Georgia. Now, I am seeking to file for a divorce and I am wondering if I have to go back to Georgia to go through the process. Is there even a process? Or can I go down to the court house here in St. Augustine, Florida and file the papers. I’m trying to do this without a lawyer, we really have not acquired property/joint ownership of anything. I need some advice, thank you!
Best answer:
Answer by BabeHart .Typically you’d file in whatever state you current reside. It does not have to be the state you were married in. Do some research online or go to the courthouse and ask about filing yourselves. I know it can be done, I do not know how to go about it.
Women are habitually more favored in a divorce setting than men are. Women arguably, get hold of the most excellent piece of the deal. In selected exceptional circumstances, men get hold of custody of the tots during a custody verdict. To be aware of what may be the case with you, try to find divorce advice before, during and even after the process.
A strong circle of associates and their advice will be very much required during and after a divorce. Without someone to talk to during and after ending your marriage, you may end up feeling alone and contemplate irrational thoughts. Don’t just make use of your friends to be strong ….strive to appreciate them for their pains also.
Adopting a meditative exercise can lend a hand to you to refocus your feelings on the things that really count. Yoga has been known to be of assistance to a lot of people who are grappling with or have gone through a divorce. Exercise such as yoga lend a hand to you to strengthen and balance out your emotional energy. This is one of the suggestions that many individuals don’t like to pay attention to but it does work very well.
You may be tempted to become self destructive after a throbbing divorce. Not eating, smoking or partying excessively can be self destructive habits divorced individuals take up. Bring back to mind that any self destructive habit you take up because of divorce will backfire on you.
The reality of being separated can be like a cold slap on your face. It can be difficult to live alone after living with an individual for so long. If you don’t accept the reality of your divorce, you might find yourself living in the past for the rest of your life. And this is the wrong way to live because you will end up being more discouraged than how you were during the last stages of the process.
Don’t waste time disturbing while in the center of a divorce, instead, pick up a positive thought pattern and keep on with it. Keep in mind, nervousness never does get to the bottom of anything.
A divorce creates lots of disorder in the lives of the individuals involved. To make certain that you walk out of the process with your heart intact, compromise and avoid playing ferocious actions.

Question by emt_and_nurse2be: How can I (or should I ) help Ex emotionally get through the divorce- Could use some mens advice on this too.?
I had been married for 18 years. After years of feeling that my needs were not met, I told my soon to be ex that one of us was moving out. He decided to go and leave me and the kids in the house. Over the last month I feel like we have both been through the ringer. We worked in anger (not good) we tried to be civil (ok but felt phony) and we tried to be friends (left with hugs etc.) and to me it felt that that was just aggravating the situation because he saw it as a source of hope.He is very hurt and doesn’t want the divorce. I have become indifferent over the last year and know that divorce is the only option I want. Should I try to help him and ease his pain by talking to him or being there for him or is that only causing more damage to him? Should I let him stand on his own 2 feet and figure out his own path in this world like I had to do ? How can I ease this horrible emotional roller coaster we are on ?What is the best way to go about all this ?

Answer by bruce d Find him a little girlfriend. Frequent, meaningless sex helps dull the pain.
