Question by gayathri m: Legal Advice wanted – Urgent – India – Divorce related?
My Wife is having Hepatitis B postivie. I wanted to divorce her for not only this reason, but she is more manly and does not support me in anyways, we did had sex for last few months as she has a communicable STD. Last we had a quarrel and i gave her a tight slap, she went back to her native(andhra pradesh – I live in chennai). We got married in 2007.
Not, I got to know from relatives that she has filed a case/complaint against me. Am not sure what kind of case that was, I want to know what should be my next step. I dont want to live with her anymore. Please what should I do, will I be arrested? Help. Urgent. Thanks.

Question by halo: Need rational advice, a legal divorce in India, he filed for his conjugal right also saying he wants me back.
He has another wife and married me, when i concieved he wanted me to have an abortion, when i realized that i returned to my parents. Now the child is a year old, and i have filed for divorce, he filed in reply through his lawyer for the child’s custody and for his conjugal rights. The man is sadistic. Please advise so that i see this whole problem through in a level headed, rational manner and succeed without feeling traumatised, because of his trick that does not let me free. In his legal notice he says that i have an ulterior motive, whereas it was him who plotted all along. And now that i want out he still is putting hurdles.

Unfortunately, after 2 years of marriage, my wife and I separated and wants a divorce. I am Indian and that is British, married in India with the Special Marriage Act. I am permanent resident and if we get a divorce by a British court, which would be valid in the Indian courts and the procedure is that for you for a divorce or a register office wedding in India? This is a divorce settlement. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

They want to have divorce , as the marriage is not going very well. I want to know where can we register the case ? whether the rules are different in both the states ?
