Question by tooinvolved1: What advice should I give my friend who’s considering reconciling with her exhusband?
She doesn’t believe divorce is right as a Christian or healthy for her kids. But she and her husband fought a lot and divorced anyway. It’s been a couple years and she’s thinking about asking him to reconcile. She asked for my advice…Pray, of course. Set realistic expectations. Don’t sweat the small stuff… What else?

Question by trent: Need advice on how to handle an ex-husband who isn’t following divorce decree.?
My wife is having problems with her ex-husband regarding the children and her. He wants nothing more then to see her suffer and take as much money from her as he can. He isn’t abiding by the divorce decree. He doesn’t involve her in decisions regarding the children, he goes out of town and has a nanny watch them rather then having them stay with their mother. He makes 12k a month and she barely makes $ 1200. He knows she can’t afford an attorney and continues to make her life a living hell. What are we to do? Is our only choice to spend thousands to take him to court every time he doesn’t follow the divorce decree? We are in Oregon. Any help or advice? We recently had a attorney handle the child support guidelines and it cost her $ 300 just for the attorney consultation and a few phone calls, and the attorney didn’t resolve anything, it’s ridiculous.

Why do she need an attorney? Have her file the contempt paperwork and they can appear and she can tell how he is not giving your wife First Right of Refusal.
