Question by amelia: divorce advice/contempt of court?
my husband and I are going through an ugly divorce. We were married for three almost four years. We have a 4 year old daughter and live in Texas. He has been having an affair with his ex wife. He has violated MANY of the orders in the papers served on him. For instance he shut off my ONLY credit card, changed the locks on OUR home, moved another woman in our home, has this other woman & her children in our house on his weekends with our daughter. My daughter comes home very confused when she has been with her daddy. My attorney says he will be held in contempt for all of this but nothing seems to be happening fast enough! We have only been to court 1 time and that was just for the preliminary hearing to set up child and spousal support. My husband seems to be getting away with EVERYTHING! What is going to happen? He also won’t give me my spousal support when it is due! I feel like he is running the show. What’s going on?

My husband and I were together for three years, but have only been married for seven months. We have reached a joint decision for divorce. We do not have the division of money, and we wanted to openly share custody of our son. We have no idea how to go about getting this taken care of, and do not want to go to court is made. Is there any way that we can only go to fill out a simple form and no problems with the divorce court?
