I’m not sure on what to do I’ve been married for less then 10months and well i do still love my husband but he wants to get divorce. My husband is in the military and well this is the situation. i got married with him everything was good until he ask me to stop talking to certain people wich i didn’t and well he end up asking for the divorce. Well he never filled up the paper work and well i left the house because i couldn’t take it anymore. He took everything away from me the car he keep everything and well i’m not sure what to do i’ve spoke to his sargernt major but that hasn’t help i know i was suppost to be geeting paid which i never did, i know he got married with me and well he never reported the marriage. I’m not sure if to negotiate with him or go to a lawyer even do i don’t have money for one. What can i do?

Go to an attorney!!! Can you borrow money from someone? You’re entitled to half of everything, and you won’t be able to do it on your own.

I was with my husband for 5 years. We just married this September ’07. Well right away he decided to cheat on me. To top it off I found out im about 2 months and a half pregnant. He went back to this woman and supposably they are bf/gf. Today he went with me to dr’s appointment and the dumb ass**** had a hickie on him. I asked if I was still able to anull my marriege they said no. I had to file divorce and as irreconcilable differences. Why not as adultery? I know I got no rights since we only been married so little.

I already finished :
1. Proof of service of summons
2. Certificate of Counsel

So what to do next? I’m so confused.
Next is: 1. Mail origianl, $ 335 check and 2 copies to the court and court will mail me back the stamped with copy of certificate of counsel
2. My friend take that copy of certificate of counsel to him to sign or he keeps that copy???
3. What’s next???

Please post step to step for me, thank you so much for your advice!

i did my own divorce here in calif. a few years ago, i went to the bookstore and bought a book called how to do your own divorce. it had forms and everything and was so simple to follow. also did u know that if your income is considered low that you can have the filing fee waived? go get this book….

My husband and I have decided to divorce. Should I sign papers and go about my way like he wants me to? I agree we should divorce but he had a business prior to our marriage and he asked me to quit my job and work for him.I quit my job and have worked with him Now when we divorce I’m left with the house (it’s my parents we rent it) and he says I get everything in the house. Should I just agree? He said the business was his PRIOR to our marriage and everything else is mine. Well, I have a daughter and NO job and tons of bills?? I’m really scared to be left without any income coming in at all… Do I have the right to ask for support until I get a REAL job? I’m not sure how to go about this. I feel like I quit my job and put everything into the business and now it’s just over…any advise?

Get yourself a good divorce lawyer, because you are to much more entitled than he thinks. You are loosing a job on top of it. I would tell him to let the judge decide what’s rightfully yours.
This way you won’t have regrets in the future.
