Question by Tatiana A: I am being deposed next week, in a Divorce Case…I need advice!?
To make a long story short, I rented a room in a house from a woman going through a divorce with 3 kids. I became close with the family and helped around with picking kids up, cooking, etc. The couple at the time had been going through a divorce for a year, and is still in the process. I lived there for 4-5 months, and left 1 year ago this week. They are still in the process of divorce, and while being deposed the other day, the husband requested that I be deposed for various reasons and accusations (claiming that the wife put the children in a bad position by having me in the house and not their father) etc etc. Where do I stand in this situation, what should I expect, and how should I prepare??? Should I be worried about anything, I feel like I am being accused of an affair, or something and he is possibly trying to drag me into this to hurt me somehow. Thanks
Thanks everyone for your quick responses!!!! I have done nothing wrong, I helped the family out, and was a great role model for the kids while there. He is a snake, and has prolonged this divorce for 3 years now. I just worried that he is now for some reason trying to legally attack me, and wanted to make sure that no matter how shady his lawyers can be, no harm can come to me from this. Thanks!

I admit there are tons of times I read something and start typing then realize I am being judgmental so I back out of the question. I try not to be judgmental but hard to do!
I am by no means perfect so I realize the hypocrisy and try to get myself right, lol……. Seriously…

My wife and I are not going to be married to each other for much longer. We dont’ even live in the same house. She was staying out late after work and I had enough so i moved out. She still has our son. (Who is a baby) She’s really ignorant and ghetto. You can’t appeal to her unless you are getting ready to give her money or do something that is in her favor. To make a long story short. We are getting divorced as soon as the papers come in the mail. (To her)
I have a friend who I have developed feelings for. The most best thing about it is that she’s more of a best friend than anything. However, we have been affectionate with one another. We like being around each other but we have fallen a few times when it comes to being tempted to do other things. I want to counteract the temptation but at the same time I don’t want to stop hanging out with her either….

Answer by MM Stick to hanging out with your “friend” in public where you can’t give in to temptation.
It is better to be separated from each other after a pause or a divorce? Or, you can still be friends? I think it’s reasonable for a divorced couple to be friends with each other, as it can continue to rely on them. What do you think?
