How long after legal separation and then divorce till it is final in California?

From my understanding, getting legally separated does nothing to reduce the time needed for six months pending a divorce in Cali. The separation is just another way to “break”, but that is still legally married. You need to go through the normal process of divorce that includes 6 months of waiting, unfortunately, to be legal.
