California Law: What options do I have if I can’t locate a person to serve divorce docs?

If you know your social security number, an attorney can be traced through employment through the IRS and tax records.

You may have an attorney to court subpeona by publication in the newspaper. If you do not have to court the judge will grant your diviorce.
